Our goal is to help all of our patients achieve optimal mental wellness. Not just the absence of disease but happiness, fulfillment and joy in everyday life. We believe that relationships have a healing power. Personal relationships and social support systems are crucial in overall health and well-being, as well as relationships with providers. Our patients not only benefit from interventions, they benefit from our relationships more than any treatment we provide, so we treat our patients like family. Being heard and cared for is important. Really important. Therefore, we can not treat symptoms without understanding the context in which those symptoms arose. The only way we can serve you is to listen and get to know your individual circumstances and environmental factors. The body, mind and environment operate as a whole, so we treat the whole person.
It is with this knowledge that we will help prevent further symptom exasperation by promoting a healthy mindset (whether through diet, exercise, meditation, spirituality, cultivating relationships, etc.) that displaces other problems from your new internal - and maybe external - environment. Along the way, you have increased capacity to deal with needs, as a part of you, not as a weakness beset on you. As much as we love our patients, we do not want to keep coming back to us, we are not in the business of keeping our patients sick!
The good news is that our patients have an innate healing power. This means that when our patients feel unhappy, or stuck, or restless, they need only to identify the obstacles that are keeping them from healing and then we work alongside you to remove those obstacles.
Integrative care is the best of conventional medical and psychiatric diagnostic techniques and treatments that can be combined with alternative strategies such as mindfulness, herbal supplements, and other complementary approaches. Not all bodies or minds work the same, and our patients all have different treatments and techniques that resonate with them. To the utmost degree possible, our patient’s preferences is a crucial factor in determining what strategies we use to help them. This means each of our patients have individualized treatment plans.
It’s our personal responsibility to heal, regardless the trauma or disease. Tools are available and the people who will help you use them and process the experience of them. Joy, happiness and fulfillment are not things that someone can give you. It is essential that you decide that these are goals worth striving for and be willing to get the help and support you need to achieve those goals. We are here, able and ready to be your provider, supporter and family in your journey. Contact us at 949.200.7929.
